On Monday, June 18, 2018, at 11:00 at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, the final presentation of the research project "Management of sports experiences in the form of efficient business models in less developed tourist destinations" (SPORTBIZMODEL, UIP- 2014-09-1214) was held along with its results.
This three-year scientific project with a budget of 346,266 HRK achieved its general goal of proposing effective business models that will enable sport tourism providers to adapt to current market challenges and focus on providing sporting experiences, maintaining and increasing their market shares and positive economic effects.
A project manager, associate professor, Ph.D. Marko Perić presented the main results of the project in the context of research, training of project team members, publishing of scientific papers, and dissemination in the international environment, and highlighted the key challenges in the research of sport events and business models and the implications that the project has for the academic community and practice.
