The pandemic has completely changed the business model and most industries around the world are moving towards digitalization. The labour market has also changed - some professions have disappeared, many people have lost their jobs, and millions of people around the world now work from remote locations. Hybrid work still exists, and today's jobs demand new digital skills. The most sought-after jobs (according to LinkedIn) require specific knowledge and skills. The Microsoft Global Initiative is for anyone looking to improve their skills, whether they are looking for a new job or want to improve their existing skills to achieve better results at work.. Microsoft's Global Digital Skills Initiative offers free learning on three platforms, online and on-demand, so participants can schedule courses on their own schedule.

At the signing of the agreement, Faculty Dean Sandra Janković pointed out that students and employees of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management will take advantage of the opportunity and acquire the necessary digital skills to increase their competitiveness in Croatia and abroad through free online learning.
