The final conference of the three-year project "Excellence and Efficiency in Higher Education in the Field of Economics - E4" was held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Split. The Faculty of Economics of the University of Rijeka, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb, the Faculty of Economics of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the University of Zadar, the University of Dubrovnik and the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula also participated in the project as partners.

The project focused on professional standards and appropriate qualification standards for university degree programmes (level 7) in the field of economics, especially in the areas of business informatics, tourism, accounting, entrepreneurship and international business, as well as institutional capacity building to ensure a high quality, interactive and efficient teaching process. Based on the qualification standards in the field of tourism, FTHM has developed an innovative graduate programme. The achievement of the specific objectives of the project is based on the ESG standards and the CROQF and included the strengthening of the competencies of teaching and non-teaching staff, the work of professional development centres, business counselling, public information and the general improvement of quality systems (creating a framework for institutional and financial sustainability). The European Social Fund under the Operational Programme “Effective Human Resources” financed the project worth HRK 3,994,067.99 and more than 500 participants took part in it. FTHM was the executing agency of the activity "Measurement of Management and Entrepreneurial Competences of Students".

The Dean Prof. Sandra Janković, who emphasised the importance of strengthening mobility within Croatian higher education institutions, attended the final conference. The coordinator of the partner institution of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management was Prof. Christian Stipanović, and faculty, professional services and students of FTHM participated in the realisation of the three-year project.
