On June 27, 2022, a round table of the Forum of Sustainable Gastronomy was held at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija.
The round table was jointly organized by Liburnia Riviera Hotels d.d., the Kvarner Tourist Board, the Žmergo Association and the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija.
The following panelists discussed the topic of sustainable gastronomy and the advantages of using organically grown, seasonal and local food in food preparation, as well as the importance of promoting and educating about sustainable gastronomy: Irena Peršić Živadinov from the Kvarner Tourist Board, Domijan Mršić from Liburnia Riviera Hotel d.d., Greta Krešić and Slobodan Ivanović from the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality, Helena Traub from the Žmergo Association, Zdravko Tomšić - chef consultant and Mladen Brajan from the Administrative Department for Tourism, Entrepreneurship and Rural Development of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
An interesting panel discussion was chaired by Edi Prodan, a journalist from Novi list d.d.

After the panel discussion, an eco-fair was held in the faculty courtyard, organized for 12 years by the Žmergo Association, where ecologically certified producers presented their products: OPG Mićić - honey, OPG Vučemilović - lavender, Hortiriviera d.o.o. - detergents, OPG Hujić - fruits and vegetables and OPG Loboda – fruits, vegetables and juices. The entire event was rounded off by a reception in line with sustainable gastronomy, organized by Liburnia Riviera Hotels d.d.
