The Eco-Committee of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and the local information centre of Žmergo sent strong messages regarding climate change before Earth Day with an interesting "Planet Earth" photo.

Cool the Earth, not the apartment!, Reduce carbon footprint, increase responsibility!, All for one, Earth for all!, Planet before profit!, Change yourself, not the climate! Time is melting! Let us raise our voice, not the temperature!, are just some of the messages of the activity before Earth Day, carried out by students of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management with the help of Žmergo's local youth information centre.

About fifty students and professors of the Faculty and representatives of Žmergo's local youth information centre gathered at the Faculty premises before Earth Day, 22 April 2023, to celebrate this important environmental date together. It all started with collecting waste around the faculty, which will play an important role in the photography, and writing thematic messages that the campaign wanted to send to the public.

In the courtyard of the faculty building, on the green area, participants with their signs and the collected waste in their hands surrounded the photographer's camera, who used the extreme fish-eye technique to create a photograph that irresistibly resembles our planet in the shape of a sphere. With this picture, we send a message about the importance of preserving nature, caring for and protecting the environment, reminding you that we all share this unique blue-green space and that each of our choices and habits is crucial if we want our blue-green "sphere" to be and stay that way.

With this activity, the Faculty contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals: No. 13 Climate Protection, Goal 14 Conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources, Goal 15 Preserving Life on Earth.
