Scope of the work, basic activities, etc.:

The primary goal of the Department of Public Financ is to conduct scientific and practical research into the efficiency, sustainability and responsibility of public sector, in order to present objective findings to the public and private policy makers. To achieve this goal, the Department of Public Finance analyses economic trends and policy in public sector. Beside this, it also conducts scientific research of the impact of fiscal policy on economy, tourism, local government units and the way the smart cities are financed. The primary assignments are related to teaching, scientific, and professional activities of members. To achieve it all, all the members participate in scientific and professional development at home and abroad. Moreover, they have published numerous scientific research papers in highly ranked scientific journals. The main research areas of work are public finance, environmental protection financing, comparative analysis with other fiscal systems, smart cities financing and others.
