Within the Department, the following thematic areas / courses are being studied:

• Croatia as a tourist destination
• Tourist destinations in Croatia
• Cultural and historical heritage of Croatia
• Cultural and historical monuments of Croatia
• Glagolitic monuments in Croatia's tourist itineraries.

The primary activities of the Department are related to the teaching activity of the members. Scientific and professional activities, as well as scientific and professional development and advancement, are realized within the Department for Foreign Languages, to which all members of this Department belong. Within the Department for Cultural Heritage, Croatian Electoral College is a tourist destination, Croatian Cultural and Historical Heritage, Croatian Tourist Destinations, Croatian Cultural and Historical Monuments and Glagolitic Monuments in tourist itineraries. Croatia as a tourist destination and Cultural and Historical Heritage of Croatia are attending the fifth semester of undergraduate university study, Glagolitic monuments in tourist itineraries in the seventh semester of undergraduate university study, Croatian Tourist Destinations and Croatian Cultural and Historical Heritage in the fifth semester of professional studies.

In all the courses, apart from the Glagolitic Monuments in tourist itineraries, the course takes place in foreign languages: English, German, Italian and French.

The importance of the Department derives from the importance of cultural and historical heritage as one of the fundamental resources in the development of tourism. The aim of the courses that are being studied within this Department is to introduce Croatia as a tourist destination and present its cultural and historical heritage in English, German, Italian and French.
