Department Members:
Since its foundation, the members of the Department have been continuously participating in all teaching, scientific and professional activities of the Faculty. Teaching activities are carried out within the undergraduate, graduate and professional studies of the Faculty. The members of the Department are involved in all forms of teaching in Opatija, and in the Zabok Study Center. The scientific activities of the members derive from their ongoing engagement in scientific projects funded by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.
Members of the Department continually participate in professional projects of various clients, within which they implement knowledge in the area of food processing, food of increased biological value and current nutrition trends in solving specific problems.
In addition to teaching activities, members of the Department are continually involved in projects and numerous activities in the field of nutrition and nutrition. Accordingly, the activities of the Department are directed to:
- the development of food products that have potential positive effects on health,
- the quality of nutrition and life habits of different populations,
- implementation of achievements in the area of scientific and professional work in profiling specific catering and tourist offers in line with current trends.
