The Department of Marketing is actively involved in all Faculty activities. Its main areas of activity involve teaching, scientific and professional activities. The department's teaching activity focuses on completing the teaching obligations of the department members, within the framework of their various courses. The department of marketing encompasses the field of marketing, which is investigated as a part of the foundation, obligatory and elective courses of the university degree or professional degree study programmes at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija.

As a part of the department's scientific activity, its members participate as researchers in various scientific research projects funded by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. Department members are currently involved in two such projects. The department's professional activities focus on publishing professional papers in journals that are significant for this profession.
