Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality organizes every semester a trip for international students studding at the faculty within the Erasmus and CEEPUS mobility programme in order for them to discover the natural beauty, as well as the historical and cultural heritage of our region.

This year, international students visited the golden island of Krk. In the town of Krk they saw the former Roman municipium and the headquarters of the Dukes of Frankopan. They also visited the Square Kamplin with the adjacent castle and tower, the Cathedral of St. Quirinal, the Baroque dome of the bell tower, as well as the City Hall.

After the town of Krk, students went to the tiny island of Košljun where a Franciscan monastery is located – also a world heritage monument. For centuries, the monks there have been collecting and preserving many valuable items that are now available to visitors of the museum. After that they visited Jurandvor near Baška and the church of St. Lucy where the Baška tablet was found - one of the oldest written monuments of the Croatian glagolithic alphabet. After a day of sightseeing, students had the opportunity to spend some time in Baška and enjoy the unique 2 km long pebble beach, said to be one of the most beautiful in the Adriatic.
