The FTHM students visited the Modul University in Vienna

Three students were awarded by the Ministry of Tourism at the competition "Be Innovative - Tourism Offers You a Job," led by the mentor, a post PH.D. student Jelena Đurkin, as the 2nd place award a study visit to the private MODUL University in Vienna.

The visit was organized from 4th to 7th of June, 2018 and during this period the students and  their mentor had a series of meetings with the scientific-teaching staff from the Tourism Department of the MODUL University, led by prof. Ph.D.  Dagmar Lund-Durlacher, through which they were informed about the effective methods used by MODUL in joining the theory gained through the course with the practice in tourism and hospitality.

During the visit, the FTHM team got introduced to the existing and future professional and scientific projects implemented at MODUL , as well as the possibilities of future cooperation. Thanks to hosts, the FTHM team also visited the headquarters of the Vienna Tourist Board, and there had a meeting with the representative of the Destination Management Department, Mr. Clemens Költringer.

FTHM students won the 1st place at the competition "Kupujmo hrvatsko" (We buy Croatian)

In April 2018, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce organized a competition for educational institutions under "We buy Croatian" action for primary and secondary schools, faculties, and higher education institutions.

In the category of faculties and institutions of higher education, the FTHM team consisted of three full-time graduate students and one undergraduate student: Marijela Begović, Diana Cokarić, Jelena Kapeš and Ivana Vrdoljak, under the mentorship of prof. Ph.D.  Lorena Bašan and Ph.D. Ana Čuić Tanković.  They submitted a project assignment with the topic "We buy Croatian."

This project assignment won the 1st place at the mentioned competition and was rated as the best team work.

This is to inform you that during the period from May 21st to June 22nd, 2018, online student surveys will take place (as a part of  the LUMENS5 + portal). Therefore, we ask you kindly to fill out an online questionnaire for each class you have taken during the summer semester of the academic year 2017/2018, and to fill in the questionnaire with thoughtfulness and due care.

Your opinion is of utmost importance, so we ask that your responses be honest and constructive. Commenting is not required, but is desirable. It is possible to make complaints in your comments, praise, and recommendations for improving the quality of teaching. Filling out the surveys is anonymous and voluntary.
