FTHM participated in the 16th Congress of Croatian Camping

The most important annual meeting of Croatian camping took place in Šibenik from November 8th to November 10th, 2022. The Congress was organized for the 16th consecutive year by the Croatian Camping Association (KUH).
At the Croatian Camping Congress, Professor Marinela Krstinić Nižić, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Development at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, moderated the round table on the topic: Development and Transformation of Camping: Digital and Green as the most likely perspective? The round table was attended by eminent experts in the camping industry.
The third InCompEdu Multiplier Event was held

On Friday, October 21, a third InCompEdu Multiplier Event was held under the name "Development and implementation of the innovative online course - examples of good practices". The host of the event and partner in the project, the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality, in addition to its experts also hosted lecturers from:
- coordinator, University of Gdansk (Leszek Reszka),
- University of Rijeka, Faculty of Engineering (Stjepan Gadžo),
- Economics and Technology of the University of Rijeka (Ivan Dražić),
- University of Osijek, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Tatjana Aparac Jelušić),
- University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics and Business (Antonija Srok i Nenad Vretenar).
Days of Croatian Tourism

The traditional Days of Croatian Tourism took place in Šibenik from October 6 to 8. The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management also participated in the Days of Croatian Tourism, which is the largest gathering of tourism professionals in Croatia and marks the tourism year in the Republic of Croatia.
On October 6, 2022, during the first event of this meeting entitled "Sustainable Future of Tourism - Presentation of the Strategy for the Development of Sustainable Tourism until 2030", the strategy was presented by the Minister of Tourism, Assoc. Prof. Nikolina Brnjac, Ph.D. and before the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality by the project leader, Prof. Dora Smolčić Jurdana, Ph.D..
On October 7, 2022, Dean Prof. Sandra Janković, Ph.D., moderated the panel discussion "How to be excellent?" at the Croatian Tourism Forum with the company VISA. The panel discussion was organized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and a discussion developed on how to be excellent in the hotel industry and what this means for the competitive and sustainable development of destinations.

Welcome day - winter semester 2022

At the beginning of the winter semester of the academic year 2022/2023. the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management welcomed 30 students as part of the Erasmus + international cooperation program.
Students enrolled came to us from Romania, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Greece, Finland, Hungary, Slovenia, Latvia Turkey etc. and will be going to attend courses offered to students on English language along with the undergraduate study program of Hospitality management, which starts with the first academic year for the first time in this academic year.
Faculty has traditionally organised for international students Welcome Day, where students get detailed information on different aspects of living in this region and studying at FMTU, University of Rijeka.
